One minute silence observed at UNICEF session for Peshawar attack victims

NEW YORK: A one-minute silence was observed to show solidarity with the victims of the Dec 16 Peshawar attack at the UNICEF Executive Board session on Tuesday.
Representatives of various countries attended the UNICEF session and observed one minute silence in memory of the children slain in the horrific attack on the Army Public School in Peshawar which killed a total of 150, mostly children.
According to sources, the silence was observed on the request of the Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the United Nations, Masood Khan.
Masood Khan commented that “those massacred in the atrocious attack will live on in our hearts and minds”.
